Rosebud Restaurant and Bar

Bar Owner

Situated at the heart of the revitalized Pike/Pine corridor, Rosebud Restaurant and Bar has been recognized as “the most comfortable spot on Capitol Hill.” A daily brunch features omelets, pastas and sandwiches. Dinner entrees include steaks, lamb, salmon and chicken. The average entree is $15-$20. Before or after a meal, guests can relax in the lounge, which features artwork from local artists, comfortable couches and contemporary jazz music.

The entire establishment has been smoke free since it opened 10 years ago. Smoking is allowed only on the outdoor patio. Manager Robert Sondheim says that the benefits of being smoke free outweigh the disadvantages. The food smells better, guests and staff do not leave smelling like smoke, the restaurant is cleaner and the upholstery and furniture remain burn free. And customers always comment on their decision to take a stand for smoke-free restaurants.
